Accountability Panel Meets Monthly

An accountability panel of concerned Little River County citizens has been meeting regularly since the tragic death of George Floyd. Citizens have been given a platform to present their concerns and work to coming together as a community for the greater good. As a part of these meetings, citizens have demanded transparency when it comes to laws, policies, and protocols of many entities within our community. To help provide this transparency and answer any questions that citizens might have, Ashdown Matters has created a Google Form that can be filled out. Upon filling this out, your question will be forwarded to the appropriate person, answered, and posted for public knowledge on our website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Please click the link below if you have a question that you want answered.

LOGOS REVEALED

Ashdown Matters, Inc., a new non-profit organization in Ashdown, Arkansas revealed their new official logos on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at local Pastor Jim Cross’ annual “Walk For Christ.” Rev. Jim Cross of Ashdown and Richmond United Methodist Churches walks thirty miles for an annual fundraising event he has titled “Walking For Christ.” This year there was a big turnout for all of the festivities, as over a hundred kids showed up to play the games and bounce in the bounce houses along with over two hundred adults coming out to partake in the fish fry. Each year Rev. Jim Cross selects a handful of carefully picked charities in which all of the proceeds are donated to. For “Walking For Christ” IMPACT 2016, Ashdown Matters, Inc. was chosen as one of the few lucky causes to benefit from the walk. Ashdown Matters, Inc. not only chose to show up and support the event that they were so graciously chosen to be a part of, but also chose to reveal their official logos at the event. It was a great day of fun at the Ashdown High School football field, and all that came were blessed to be a part of such a great event.

Below are the two logos that Ashdown Matters, Inc. revealed on Saturday. On the left is the official logo for the non-profit organization itself, and on the right is the official logo for the youth center that Ashdown Matters, Inc. plans to open in the future for the kids of Ashdown, Arkansas.

The "Jalen J. Lewis R.I.S.E. Center of Little River County" is coming soon!

R.I.S.E. is an acronym that stands for Reaching Incredible Successes Everyday.

The R.I.S.E. Center will be all about helping our community's youth in furthering their education, walking with God, and reaching their full potential in every aspect of their life.

The location for the youth center and grand opening date has yet to be determined.

Please stay tuned for updates!
